Bring Your Appetite to Old City Eats

There are plenty of reasons to commute the 1.5 miles from your 1500 Locust apartment to Old City: from eye-opening historic sites to mind-opening art galleries and everything in between. The historic neighborhood is also known for its culinary prowess and, for just a few more weeks, you can take a bite of that—for less!

Old City Eats is wrapping up for the season on Aug. 29. From 5-8 p.m. every Thursday until then, more than 40 participating restaurants around the neighborhood will offer a range of dizzying dining deals that will you have both you and your wallet feeling full! Each venue is putting its own spin on the event, but common deals include half-priced apps and cocktails for less than $5.

Here are a few of the standout restaurants that are new to this year’s lineup:

Franklin Social: Nestled in the Renaissance Philadelphia Downtown Hotel, one mile from your 1500 Locust apartment, Franklin Social features contemporary American cuisine, served up in small and large plates, along with a hearty drink list from around the world.

Pinot Boutique Wine Bar: If you’re looking to get a little bubbly for less, hit up Pinot, about 1.5 miles from your 1500 Locust apartment. The venue is offering Old City Eats patrons the chance to taste its wide menu of local wines all for less.

Baby Buns: Located in the newly redesigned Bourse about one mile from your 1500 Locust apartment, Baby Buns kicks burgers up a notch. Many of its dishes have a unique Philly feel: like the Broad Street Buns and the Pork Jawn.
