Four Places to Watch an Eagles Game

Even if you’re not a native Philadelphian, if you live in the City of Brotherly Love, as soon as autumn hits, you have to bleed green. Philly football fans take their Eagles seriously, with game day being most locals’ favorite day of the week. When kickoff time comes, you want to be surrounded by fellow fans, food and fun.

There are several spots right near your 1500 Locust apartment where you can find all three.

Fox & Hound — Just one block from your 1500 Locust apartment, Fox & Hound is an expansive sports tavern. With several large TVs, an extensive drink list and a menu that includes both pub fare and more complex dishes, Fox & Hound is the place to be on Eagles Sundays.

Cavanaugh’s — More than 20 televisions make Cavanaugh’s a hot spot when the boys in green take the field. About four blocks from your 1500 Locust apartment, Cavanaugh’s features daily specials, including $.50 wings on Thursday nights and $3.75 Yuenglings on Sundays.

Smith’s — About six blocks from your 1500 Locust apartment, Smith’s offers a casual, corner bar atmosphere with a great view of the game. Though Smith’s is a relaxed spot, that doesn’t mean it scrimps on its menus, with dozens of beers and an eclectic food selection.

Drinker’s Pub — Drinker’s Sunday specials make it the perfect spot for fans on a budget. Dive into $.50 wings, $1 hot dogs, $1.50 tacos, $5 nachos and $5 burgers with fries! Wash it all down with $8 Miller Lite pitchers and PBR and Yuengling specials. Located six blocks from 1500 Locust, Drinker’s is a friendly, fun spot for those with Eagles fever.
